Uploading Full Papers/Poster Summaries for Corresponding Authors

Just a reminder that the deadline for full papers (oral presentations) and 2-page summaries (poster presentations) is 31 MAY 2016. You need to have your paper uploaded by then. 

To upload the full paper, please go to https://www.ispag.org/abstracts. You will need to login to see the list of abstracts you are associated with. If you need help with logging in, please contact us at abstracts@ispag.org

To upload the paper, click the green button next to the abstract of choice. This will open the abstract details page. Scroll down the page to the green "Add File" button. Click the button and use the dialog box to name and select the file for upload. Click the "Submit" button to upload the file. The dialog box will close when the file upload is complete. The file will then be listed in the "Files" section of the abstract details page. 

Please note: the only acceptable file formats for upload are .doc or .docx files. PDF files are NOT acceptable. 

ISPA Awards

PLEASE NOTE: Deadline for award nominations is extended to Friday, 10 June 2016.

Brief descriptions of the awards in different categories are listed below (more information is available here):

  1. Pierre C. Robert Precision Agriculture Award(s): The Pierre C. Robert Precision Agriculture Award honors individuals who have made significant contributions to precision science and technology and who are presenting an oral or poster paper at the conference. Two awards will be given in this category to a Young and Senior Scientist/Professional. The young scientist/professional must be 42 or younger; the senior scientist/professional over 42. Senior scientist/professional must have 20 or more years of experience majority of which must be in the area of precision agriculture.

    The selected candidates will be honored during the conference award ceremony with a Plaque of Achievement and US$1000 cash award.

  2. Graduate Student Award(s): Approximately 10 awards will be made to graduate students presenting their research work (oral or poster paper) at the ICPA conference. The award will consist of waived conference registration fees and US$500 cash award. The selected candidates will be honored during the conference award ceremony.

Abstract Notices Have Been Sent

Thank you for submitting abstracts to the 13th ICPA. We received over 250 abstracts 

The abstract review process is completed and notifications were sent to all corresponding authors. If you have not received an email, please check your "junk mail" folder. You can also check the status of your submitted abstracts when you are logged in at https://www.ispag.org/abstracts. If you were requested to make revisions to your abstract, you can login and edit your abstract and resubmit.

Details for Oral Presentations

For oral presentations, here are a few guidelines for your presentations.

  1. Presentation time is 20 minutes, this includes time for questions. Session Chairs will keep presentations on time so that attendees can plan their program in 20-minute increments.
  2. AV equipment provided includes: 
  • Windows 8 computer running MS PowerPoint.
  • Projector.
  • Laser pointer and wireless slide controller. 
  • Wireless lapel mic. 
  1. No template is provided for slides. You may use your own slide design.

Please note that all cell phones/pages/etc. should be off or silenced during sessions. No photos or videos should be taken of the presentations. Cameras, and especially tablets, are very distracting for other attendees, and no duplication of the slides is permitted without permission from the speaker.

Details for Poster Presentations

Please note: poster format must be no larger than 44.5 inches high by 44.5 inches wide (1.15 meters by 1.15 meters). Please be sure your posters are designed to fit in this format. Posters may be attached to the boards using pushpins or velcro. Supplies will be available at the conference registration desk.

The Poster Session will be Monday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm (times are tentative). Posters may be setup beginning at 12:00 pm on Monday. Posters may remain in place through Wednesday morning. Posters should be removed by 10am Wednesday.
