1. Site-specific Fertilization Management: Influence Of The Past History Of The Addition Of Fertilizers On The Intra Field Variability Of The Rate Of P And K In The Soil.

Site specific crop management adapts the fertilizer amount applied in relation to the intra field crop needs. In this context, tries were carried out under field conditions. The aim of the trials was to develop technico-economic baseline data and methodology of soil sampling for precision agriculture in Upper-Normandy. ... C. Duval, J. Llorens, C. Duval, C. Duval, S. Ta

2. Embedded Sensing System To Control Variable Rate Agricultural Inputs

This paper presents an embedded sensing system for agricultural machines to collect information about plants and also to control the application of fertilizer with variable rate in corn crop. The Crop Circle reflectance sensor was used with the aim to explore the spectral... G.T. Tangerino, R.V. Sousa, A.J. Porto, R. . Inamasu, P. Pinkston

3. Influence Of Phosphorus Application With Or Without Nitrogen On Oat (Avena Sativa) Grass Nutritive Value And In Situ Digestion Kinetics In Buffalo Bulls

Fodder is the mainstay of ruminant production in majority of developing countries. However, its low yield and poor quality are considered considerable constrains which impede ruminant productivity. Fodder production and its nutritive value can be enhanced by ensuring adequate supply and utilization of nutrients... M.U. Nisa, I. Babar, M. Sarwar, N.A. Tauqir, M.A. Shahzad

4. Creating Prescription Maps from Historical Imagery for Site-specific Management of Cotton Root Rot

Cotton root rot, caused by the soilborne fungus Phymatotrichopsis omnivore, is a severe plant disease that has affected cotton production for over a century. Recent research found that a commercial fungicide, Topguard (flutriafol), was able to control this disease. As a result, Topguard Terra Fungicide, a new and more concentrated formulation developed specifically for this market was registered in 2015, so cotton producers can use this product to control the disease. Cotton root rot only infects... C. Yang, G.N. Odvody, J.A. Thomasson, T. Isakeit, R.L. Nichols

5. A Dynamic Variable Rate Irrigation Control System

Currently variable rate irrigation (VRI) prescription maps used to apply water differentially to irrigation management zones (IMZs) are static.  They are developed once and used thereafter and thus do not respond to environmental variables which affect soil moisture conditions.  Our approach for creating dynamic prescription maps is to use soil moisture sensors to estimate the amount of irrigation water needed to return each IMZ to an ideal soil moisture condition.  The UGA Smart... 6. AGTECH CHILE: an Outreach and Technology Transfer Platform for Closing Gaps in Emerging Chilean Precision Agriculture Companies

Precision agriculture (PA) is being developed in Chile since 1997. Today there are approximately 20 companies providing products and services in PA at different levels. Most of them are young entrepreneurships which have important knowledge gaps, particularly on technology basis and data management to transform them into useful information. In order to help closing some of the gaps, and contributing to the development of an innovation ecosystem, an extension proposal was developed, which... R.A. Ortega, P. Trebilcock
