2026 Nitrogen Community Survey
Join us during the 2026 17th International Conference on Precision Agriculture and 11th Brazilian Congress on Precision and Digital Agriculture, for the Nitrogen Community Meeting. Please take a moment to complete the survey below. It will help us to prepare our agenda for the meeting.

Preliminary Digital Agriculture Survey
ISPA is developing a Digital Agriculture definition and we would like to hear from our ISPA membership currently working in Digitial Ag or expecting to do so. This survey will inform the definition committee. We split this into four broad questions:

a. Where, within food systems, do you operate?
b. What technologies do you consider most important? (We suggest four classes: data collection, control tech, modeling/AI and comms/networking.)
c. How do you believe technology creates value? (We suggest three classes: increased efficiency, better processes, and assett management.)
d. Who do you expect gains value from digitial ag?

Precision Agriculture in Kenya: 2026 Country Update
By Kenya Country Representative Violet Ochieng'

Kenya continues to strengthen its position as a leader in precision agriculture in Africa through the adoption of digital technologies, drones, artificial intelligence (AI), remote sensing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and data-driven agricultural decision-making. In 2026, the country experienced significant developments in innovation, research commercialization, digital agriculture, and capacity building that are creating an enabling environment for the growth and scaling of precision agriculture solutions. The increasing integration of advanced technologies into agricultural systems is supporting efforts to improve productivity, climate resilience, resource-use efficiency, and food security while creating new opportunities for youth employment and agribusiness development.

SMART-SIP+: Unlocking the Full Power of Solar Irrigation in Bangladesh
By Bangladesh Country Representative Dr. Chayan Kumer Saha

Bangladesh has emerged as one of Asia's most successful agricultural nations, achieving remarkable progress over the years. Despite covering only a fraction of the world's landmass, Bangladesh has carved out an extraordinary position in global food production. Agriculture contributes 11.2% to the national GDP and supports the livelihoods of millions of Bangladeshis across 8 divisions and 64 districts (BBS, 2024).

Despite these achievements, the underlying basis of this success is facing significant challenges. Cultivable land makes up just 54.4% of Bangladesh's area, and it is shrinking every year due to urbanization and industrialization. Meanwhile, climate change, recurring disasters, and a chronic rural labor shortage compound the challenge. Post-harvest losses tell a stark story: 14% of paddy is lost after harvest, while fruit and vegetable losses run between 20% and 37% (Hossain et. al., 2017). These are not just economic losses; they represent food that communities need.

Precision Agriculture in Ukraine: Economic Impact of Resource Optimization Across 92,000 ha
By Ukraine Country Representative Yaroslav Boyko

In 2024–2025, AgriLab, in partnership with the USAID Agriculture and Rural Development Program (AGRO), implemented a special initiative for micro, small, and medium-sized grain and oilseed producers in Ukraine. The goal of the project was to improve farm efficiency through precision agriculture technologies including comprehensive soil analysis, satellite data, management zones, variable-rate seeding, and variable-rate fertilizer application.
