5th Online Symposium on Agri-Tech Economics for Sustainable Futures
This year’s Symposium is again being jointly organised by the Global Institute for Agri-Tech Economics at Harper Adams University (UK), and the International Society of Precision Agriculture (ISPA) Economics Community on 19-20 September 2022. We will be hosting a special session focused on ‘Economics and Adoption of Precision Agriculture’ and we encourage ISPA members to consider submitting a paper or abstract that they would like to present as part of this session, or any other session. Abstract or paper submission closes on 1 July 2022.

African Association for Precision Agriculture
APNI has founded the African Association for Precision Agriculture (AAPA). The main objective of the AAPA will be to work as an organized group to contribute to the development of PA in Africa and to engage the global PA community through scientific, informative, extension, and training activities. The AAPA board will also have responsibilities to help plan the next APNI-hosted AfCPA in 2022.

Open position in On-Farm Experimentation
The ITAP Research unit (Technologies for the Agriculture of Tomorrow) has an early career research position open at the moment to research and support the use of on-farm experimentation in the agroecological transition. The post details are available on the INRAE website (in French). See the position's description here.
The candidate will work with a dynamic group of researchers in Precision and Digital Agriculture based in Montpellier, France. The successful candidate does not necessarily need to be proficient in French, but does need to commit to learning and working in French. As this is an OFE position, interaction with growers (non-english speaking) will be expected. For further details, please contact Dr James Taylor (james.taylor@inrae.fr).

FIRA
The International Forum for Agricultural Robotics (French acronym = FIRA will launch FIRA USA in Fresno, Calif. Oct. 18-20, 2022 to provide autonomous systems and robots to California and North America growers. Jointly organized between the French association GOFAR, the University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources, Western Growers Association and the Fresno-Merced Future of Food (F3) Initiative, FIRA USA 2022 will bring together specialty crop growers, robot manufacturers, industrials, academics, technologists, startups and investors for three days of problem-solving, decision making and planning.
